Biesse, Leitz & The Joinery Network Host Joint Open Day on CNC Window & Door Manufacturing
Leitz and The Joinery Network have teamed up with the latest TJN affiliate, Biesse to host a CNC window and door manufacturing event. We showcased how combining LIGNUM’s high-performance window and door tooling with Biesse’s innovative Rover CNC systems, leads to exceptionally fast manufacturing of timber windows and doors.
Attendees, including joiners and manufacturers keen to scale up their operations, witnessed live demonstrations proving how this integrated approach delivers an exceptionally high-quality and fast-produced timber product, focusing on the quality of the final window tooling and door tooling profiles.
The day’s core focus was demonstrating how the LIGNUM tooling system, a key component of The Joinery Network’s offering, maximises the capabilities of Biesse’s advanced CNC platforms. Participants observed firsthand how the synergy effectively eliminates time-consuming test cuts and drastically reduces the need for sanding, which traditionally represents a major bottleneck in manufacturing. This combined technological approach significantly enhances production efficiency, guaranteeing increased profitability and a consistently superior finished product derived from perfected window tooling and door tooling.
"The response to this event has been simply phenomenal," commented a Andy ball for The Joinery Network. "It’s proof that the industry is ready to embrace smart manufacturing. Seeing our LIGNUM tooling running on the power and precision of the Biesse Rover machinery showcases the future of timber window and door tooling. Manufacturers no longer have to choose between speed and quality—this collaboration allows them to achieve both, consistently and reliably."
The 'CNC Window Manufacturing Day' not only offered invaluable technical insights and live machining demonstrations, but also provided a vital networking platform for peers to exchange ideas. Furthermore, the collaboration proudly supported the community, with all ticket proceeds donated to the local charity, Roots to Wellbeing (CIC Charity).
The Joinery Network and Biesse are committed to continuing their collaborative efforts to equip UK joinery firms with the expertise and cutting-edge window tooling and door tooling technology required to optimise their manufacturing processes in line with current legislation and growing market demands.
Leitz & The Joinery Network are constantly testing new designs, tools and materials so that manufacturers of timber doors and windows can stay up to date with the latest designs and trends. As recently as the 2nd of November 2023, The Joinery Network became the first company to offer Accoya timber products to PAS24:2022 standards.
In essence, Lignum window tooling and door tooling from Leitz has proven to be a game-changer for JF joinery, enabling the company to achieve remarkable advancements in production efficiency, product quality, and overall business operations. The combination of increased production volumes, expanded sales opportunities, and reduced start-up costs has propelled JF joinery to new heights of success, solidifying its position within the local market.
